why MMJ?
Media convergence is a beautiful thing. Chances are if you familiar with modern journalism you are familiar with the acronym "MMJ", or Multimedia Journalist. Well, I put my own twist on MMJ- Multimedia Maven Journalist. So what's the difference you may ask? Check out my breakdown below:

Like many self-identified social media addicts like myself, I have a hard time distancing myself from my iPhone, iPad, or computer for any extended period of time. I like to always be in the know and connected to what is occurring on local, national, and international levels. I am fascinated by the ease of connectivity and the instantaneous ability to gather news, communicate with anyone, and even make purchases.
journalist.
I believe a journalist is anyone who can tell a story for an audience. Thus, I am a journalist. A journalist is someone who knows what questions to ask and how to ask them. Much to some traditionalists' dismay, in the internet age, anyone can be a journalist. In a matter of seconds anyone on Twitter can report a breaking story or post a blog on any topic of interest
