Purpose: Conduct research and devise a business plan for an existing business not already in the Northwest Arkansas area.
Result: Based on research, present a marketing plan that could be used to persuade local and company officials that Whole Foods would benefit from a new location in Northwest Arkansas.
Skills Used: Developing business plan, Developing marketing plan, Presenting to 30+ peers, Supplementing presentation with Excel and Powerpoint to materials, Writing a detailed report, and working in a team of 5  



Purpose: Conduct market research from start finish
Result: Using established theories and results from research, draw conclusions about market and present findings.
Skills Used: Learning behavior and learning theories and how they relate to marketing, Deciding on an area of marketing that was of interest, Creating a marketing research plan, Constructing and implementing a survey using Qualtrics and Mechanical Turk, Analyzing results using SPSS, Presenting finds to group of 15+ peers, and working in a team of 5.
Note: The focus of this project was brand logos and the significant or wording attached to logos.
Purpose: Cover the Arkansas Football team at SEC Media Days for ArkansasRazorbacks.com
Tasks: Shoot video of multiple press conferences and interviews throughout the day, Edit video into Behind the Scenes feature (see left), and tweet updates throughout the day for @RSNmediaHD
Skills Used: Shooting video (DSLR, Sony, and GoPro), Editing video footage using Final Cut Pro on Mac, Interviewing players, coaches, and TV personalities, Tweeting live updates, and working with a partner.
Purpose: Devise a thesis topic, develop thesis, write thesis, and present thesis to defense committee.
Result: Successfully defending thesis to committee and scored in the top scoring category.
Tasks: Conduct primary and secondary research, perform extensive analysis, and present findings to thesis committee
Skills Used: Finding relevant secondary information, devise survey, obtain IRB approval, providing survey and obtaining results, analyzing primary data using SPSS, present findings with PowerPoint and oral presentation to committee of four, and compiling written report including Excel spreadsheets and graphs.
